SERVICES
I provide you and your partner with care, understanding, information and support after the arrival of your little one. Our initial meeting will help me tailor my packages to fit your needs. Get in touch to find out more.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT- DAYTIME
I take on a limited number of clients at any one time to make sure I can give you the full care and attention you deserve. By offering Postpartum Support, my goal is to reduce any stress, allowing you to pay attention to your body and your baby. I achieve this by anticipating your needs whenever possible. I can roll up my sleeves and take on some light household cleaning, prepare you a meal, play with your older children, so forth and so on. I take care of you so you can care for baby. If you need to do any self-care, including showering and resting, I am able to care for baby so you can do so. I am also equipped with knowledge about normal newborn behavior, lactation, and postpartum recovery. I want to hear about how you're feeling! Your emotions are as important as anything during this season, and always.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT- OVERNIGHT
With the same goals as postpartum daytime support in mind, I am able to support families overnight with an emphasis on sleep. Whatever feeding methods you use overnight, we can optimize the night by allowing me to offer longer stretches of sleep for the parents or by helping latch baby in the hazy middle-of-the-night feedings. Between tending to parents and babies, I can take on household tasks that will not disturb those who are sleeping when possible (i.e. folding clothes and other quiet tasks).
DONATION BASED VIRTUAL SUPPORT
I am able to help you with informational support and guidance via video chatting. During virtual support, I am able to answer questions you may have about your newborn and your postpartum recovery. We can check in on how you're feeling overall together. After our session, I can send resources and referrals for relevant topics we covered in our time together. Things like this include my favorite how-to videos depicting baby and self care techniques, referrals to trusted body-workers, lactation consultants, mental health professionals, etc. Most are surprised how much we can accomplish on a virtual platform!
POSTPARTUM EDUCATION
Preparing for only the birth, and not postpartum, is like only worrying about the wedding, and not the marriage. I offer private and group classes to help you prep for the postpartum period. We explore the changes you undergo physically, mentally, emotionally. We talk about navigating new family dynamics, lactation, parent/infant bonding, attachment parenting theory, body work, nutrition, intimacy after baby, and SO much more.
